MINI MAXI LEAGUE

Mini Maxi League was founded on 18.02.2001. in Belgrade and in a very short time, it has become the national movement for children's football, the football incubator in which "young eagles" are being born for the future success of Serbian football sport.

minimaxiThe pilot competition called Mini Maxi League (MML) was opened on 18.02.2001., and the honour to declare the league opened had the management of the FA of Belgrade at the time Mr.Vladan Lukic and Mr.Mihajlo JeknIć.

The idea to start the MML came from the coaches and the management of the Belgrade Football Clubs: FC Royal, FK Best ClubS and KMF Mondial.

The first season of Mini Maxi League brought together 32 teams divided into two competitions. The players born in 1990 and after played in Maxi League, and the players born in 1992 and after played in the Mini league. All matches were played in the PSRC Balasevic'''' in Belgrade's municipality of Rakovica. The competition began with 325 players and ended with more than 500 registered children.

From 2001 until 2005, all events were held in Belgrade, and in the 2005-06 season the competitions were organised for the first time outside of Belgrade, as a pilot project in Vojvodina (Novi Sad) and in the region of Western Serbia (Sabac, Uzice, Kraljevo, Cacak).

Today the MML is being held in 20 cities in Serbia, and over 600 teams divided into five competitions are participating - Micro, Mini, Midi, Maxi and Mega, which together with the Winter League of Serbia makes football movement which brings together more than 10,000 competitors.

minimaxiSince its establishment in 2001 unitl 2007. the total budget has been accomplished solely by sponsors and donators, i.e. without any financial support of Football and Sports Associations and the competent Government bodies and institutions. Therefore, practically all of our activities were directly dependent of the willingness of sponsors, including the company's greatest contributions from: "Knjaz Milos", "ITM", "Pepsi", "Coca Cola", "Grand Prom", "Imlek", "Diadora", "Umbro", "Delta Sport", "Delta Generali" Insurance, "McDonald's" , "Toyota", "Lasta", etc.

Mini Maxi League of Serbia is a festival-type event, and as such, it is based on the principles of modern scientific-sports theory and practice. This is important because the DFA finds itself in fundamental changes in terms of the basic propositions and rules, The Mini Maxi League of Serbia has fully relaxed and really created a modern children's sports program.

The primary objective of this project is to popularize football and to introduce the youngest population with the basic concept of sports competition through the positive experiences, with a wish to permanently choose this sport. Taking care of the youngest population and their training in sports activities at the same time are a priority for their spiritual and physical development, as well as the adoption of noble values ​​of life.

The MMFL competition in this, the ninth consecutive season 2009/10 is being held simultaneously in twenty cities in Serbia, Belgrade, Novi Sad, Sabac, Uzice, Kragujevac, Cacak, Kraljevo, Zrenjanin, Pozarevac, Krusevac, Nova Pazova, Smederevo, Vranje, Nis, Pirot, Pancevo, Valjevo and Kosovska Mitrovica, with over 10,000 participants from more than 600 teams.
